Overview
Unix Administrator - Investment Bank A Bank in the City of London is currently seeking a Unix Systems Administrator to join their EMEA Technology team. The Unix Administrator would help administration all environments on the Unix platform ensuring business applications are available, performant, reliable and scalable to meet the needs of the business and its users. Key responsibilities include: Providing Unix System Administration and Support for all Unix environments across all offices Plan and complete UNIX related projects and tasks as assigned by management Perform Installation, configuration, upgrades and maintenance of UNIX operating system instances including the related application elements Perform Installation, configuration, upgrades and maintenance of 3rd party software used within the UNIX environment Produce and maintain documented operational procedures and diagrams for all UNIX environments and in-scope supported applications Provide support for developers and business users requests and queries Required Experience Strong Red Hat background Solaris knowledge/exposure Red Hat Satellite Experience of working within the Financial Services Industry highly desirable Any exposure to Ansible, Nutanix, VMware, Icinga2 monitoring platform would be highly desirable This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89917631
