Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) Whitchurch £30,000 to £35,000 Overtime Pension 20 Days Holiday Bank Holidays Critical Illness Package Life Cover 42.5 Hours a week, 2 Shift System – Requirement to work 1 in 3 Saturdays Maintenance Engineer position available within an established manufacturer who are expanding rapidly and investing heavily new machinery. The company and are willing to train and develop the right candidate. The role would suit a mechanically biased engineer who has basic electrical skills, you can come from ANY manufacturing background. Candidates who have experience working in FMCG environment are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be willing to work in a livestock processing environment. The role will involve a combination of pre-planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance work. On the electrical side you will be working on single, three phase equipment. All the equipment is bespoke to the organisation and so will be trained on ALL the machinery on site. Mechanically you will be working on bearings, springs and conveyors as well as hydraulics and pneumatics. There will be call out rota involved of every third week on a Saturday.
