Overview
Leading metrology and inspection service provider to the engineering sector is seeking an experienced Metrology Engineer with proven capability within CMM and 3D scanning projects. The role is permanent and offers excellent progression opportunities. Some travel will be needed to customer sites. Commutable from: Wolverhampton, Stourbridge, Bridgnorth, Telford Salary: £ 30,000 - £ 40,000 p.a. Pension Paid Overtime The Role Supporting engineering clients from a broad range of sectors including automotive, motorsport, aerospace, defence and industrial - you will undertake a range of measurement and inspection projects. The Metrology Engineer will directly face the end customer and maintain regular communication with them throughout the project. You will use 3D Scanning equipment and CMM to prove accuracy and tolerances for the projects and produce technical reports confirming the results of the inspection. The Person The Metrology Engineer will possess proven CMM and 3D scanning experience in addition to general mechanical engineering awareness. You will be conversant with first principles and be able to also undertake manual inspections where needed. The Metrology Engineer will be conversant with GD&T and be able to read and interpret technical drawings. Some travel will be required to customer sites with occasional overnight stays needed.
