Bournemouth - Communications Systems Engineer - £55K to £75K Salary - Aerospace Sector Our client is a world leader in aerospace technology and has developed complex and innovative airborne equipment designed to operate in the most extreme of environments. They have recently been awarded a contract by the MoD for the design and development of a range of electronic warfare training pods on behalf of NATO. These will provide realistic training opportunities for NATO member countries in preparation for real time operations. Your role will be to lead the development engineering work packages aligned to the new NATO programme. You will be responsible for end to end systems simulation of complex wireless systems including the creation of scenarios to model as well as associated validation. You will also be called upon to discuss and agree interfaces with other engineers within the programme. You will be expected to provide regular outputs that influence design development and associated testing. Main Duties: End to end simulation of complex wireless systems Creation of scenarios to model simulations Validation of simulations Multi-disciplinary collaboration with other programme engineers Skills and Experience Required: Educated to degree level or equivalent in an engineering related discipline MATLAB (Preferably Simulink) Understanding of Antennas and installed performance Understanding of complex wireless simulation systems (Preferably LTE) The salary is £55K to £75K depending on experience and includes a further 5% performance related bonus and private medical cover.
