Overview

Information Security Specialist - Edinburgh Pertemps Scotland Ltd are working with our client in Edinburgh to recruit for an Information Security Specialist on a temporary basis from April 2020 - September 2020 with potential of extension. The role is full time working Monday to Thursday 8.30am - 5.00pm, Friday 8.30 - 4.00pm. Salary between £37,000 - £45,000 and this role is within IR35. The main duties would be: Review of existing supply chains in place for digital solutions in use Development of risk management, policies and processes to ensure reporting of risks is consistent and the impacts are clearly articulated Stakeholder engagement with a view to improving risk ownership by the organisation Providing expert advice and guidance to support mitigating controls and activities Initiate and maintain a program of improvement Activities required with improved alignment to the NIST CSR Framework Develop and nurture relationships with key CSD managers and stakeholders and with wider iTECS Managers The appointee must have proven Information Security & Risk management capability and demonstrable experience of undertaking work in this are in the public sector Project management skills and capabilities including order and method, planning and risk management skills are essential Demonstrable robust interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and clearly to both technical and business staff Essential Skills: Several years' experience in Information Security and Risk Management Stakeholder engagement and delivering successful outcomes Experience in using Risk Management tools and methodologies Produce quality documentation and management information Self-starter with previous experience of working with minimal supervision and a proactive work ethic when managing numerous competing priorities Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, including experience of regular contact, relationship building and conflict resolution Excellent verbal and written communication skills to lead, influence and manage internal and external senior staff, with an ability to effectively tailor communications to the audience Proven ability to act decisively, accommodate evolving responsibilities and manage competing and shifting priorities with tight deadlines to deliver a demanding area of work Ability to innovate and put creative ideas into practice Broad understanding of ICT, digital technology, cyber security Desirable Skills Required Experience of communicating ICT information to a wide range of stakeholders with differing levels of understanding Security Clearance Disclosure Scotland BPSS This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89812815
