Overview
The Organisation Merthyr Tydfil Housing Association provides quality and well maintained homes exclusively for people living within Merthyr Tydfil. We are a community based housing association, providing exceptional services to all our customers. We currently manage c.1200 units, with a turnover of c£5m and a staff base of 42, however with ongoing development, this is likely to increase over the next couple of years. We are currently looking for a talented Executive or Senior level Finance professional to assume a key role within our organisation. The opportunity The Director of Finance and Corporate Services will operate at both a strategic and operational level. Reporting to the Chief Executive, the successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Management team and provide appropriate advice and financial information to both the leadership team and Board. This role has a broad span of control and will lead all corporate functions to include Finance, HR, Governance, IT (outsourced) and Internal Audit (outsourced). The role will also assume data protection and company secretarial responsibilities as well as being responsible for the portfolio of commercial lettings. The candidate The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant already operating at a Senior Management level, and will be able to demonstrate development and success in their career to date. You will be an effective leader with exceptional people management and first class communication skills, with a passion for delivering excellent customer service. We are ideally looking for a candidate with a supportive and business partnering style, who enjoys a broad span of control within a professional working environment, with a naturally calm demeanour.
