Technical Writer | 6 month contract |London | Inside IR35 | £500 per day My client are looking for someone to join their application operations team, who will be responsible for the knowledge management activity across App ops, to create knowledge materials and produce high quality documentation such as service and documentation requirements, easy-to-understand user interface materials, online help and technical guides. The outcome being high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of the Application Operations team and services. This person must have experience in fast-paced environments in FMCG, Digital, E-commerce organisations where the focus has been on service and using technology to improve delivery in which they have bought others along on the journey to deliver a great experience. You will have a good understanding of digital, understand UI & UX, and can interpret material from a technical audience to a non-technical audience. The team you will be working in is highly customer and consumer centric and we are looking for outstanding individuals who enjoy working on large, complex and multi-dimensional problems. They work in a highly regulated environment across many geographies with a fast-paced business environment which is incredibly interesting to work in. Key Responsibilities Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience Write easy-to-understand user interface text, online help and developer guides Create tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications Analyse existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities Create and maintain the information architecture Helping to establish a body of knowledge for best practice ways of working within App Ops closely aligning with the Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement champions Planning and managing backlog of work to help drive improvement of the App Ops team Driving standards and practices, improving and innovating to stay ahead of the curve Essential Skills & Experience Proven working experience in technical writing of software documentation Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures Excellent written skills in English A solid knowledge of Service Management principles including Service Level Agreements and their applications aligned with knowledge of applying contracts based on business deliverables Deep skillset in using the required tools for document creation and curation including Microsoft Productivity suite Good knowledge and use of ITSM/work management systems (ServiceNow, JIRA etc.) Strong customer focussed approach with demonstrable first-class stakeholder engagement Experience working within an Agile environment delivering faster at a higher quality level Basic familiarity with the SDLC and software development An understanding of cloud-based technology stacks and the application of these services to meet business outcomes and problems Willingness to travel across Europe, Latin America and Asia Pacific Technical Writer | 6 month contract |London | Inside IR35 | £500 per day This job ad was posted by Salt.
