Overview
One of the World’s leading Defence and Cyber Security companies is looking for a number of software developers with strong Java skills to join their growing Cyber and Intelligence Division in London. The role As a Software Engineer you will join an Agile team, involved in all stages of the software development lifecycle. You will be developing and maintaining a range of applications and software solutions, tackling and solving complex problems across Cyber Security, Software, Data Science, AI and Machine leaning. Innovation is key and so you will also take on board R&D projects, building protypes and running with those ideas into a production environment. We have opportunities at all levels. For more Senior engineers there is the opportunity to own pieces of work and to mentor and coach junior colleagues. What we’re looking for Essential skills Experience in design, development, testing and integration of quality software Experience in Java and the use of object-oriented design Keen to learn a broad range of technologies Desirable Agile/Scrum methodologies using tools such as Confluence and Jira DevOps approaches and associated tools such as Ansible, Docker and Jenkins Messaging and Routing Technologies such as Ni-Fi and Kafka Cloud-based architectures Linux operating systems (Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server/CentOS) Different programming languages, such as: Java, C, C++ and Python Working with open source products UK Government Security Clearance If you’re a software engineer working within National Security or an engineer wanting to join this exciting sector and you’re thinking about a change, why not get in touch.
