Overview
Staffline are recruiting for HGV Class 2 Night drivers with immediate starts for our client based in Bridgend. Shift times are 0030 starts and are generally anything from 8-10 hours long, you must be flexible as working days can vary each week and you will be required to work weekends. Newly qualified HGV Drivers welcome to apply. For insurance purposes we cannot accept drink or drug related driving convictions. As one of our Cat C Drivers, you'll be responsible for driving Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently between Hubs, Depot Networks and Sub-Depots. You will be making deliveries using a tail lift and pallet truck. The loads you will be transporting aren't individually heavy, but you will be transporting up to 40,000 items at a time. Great communication skills are necessary for this role as we understand that delays can happen on the roads through circumstances beyond your control, road accidents, over-running repairs etc. You are expected to communicate those delays to the depot so they can plan around the issues and ensure you get the support you need through optimised route planning and other tools.
