Overview

The purpose of the role is to support the senior members of the team in dealing with a varied task load including simple insolvency (liquidations, administrations, receiverships) case related tasks and undertaking any other administrative task required by the team. The Position • Answering telephones and taking messages. • Filing. • Dealing with the incoming and outgoing post and dealing with storage boxes and archiving. • Handing out printing and keeping post areas tidy. • Supporting the senior members of the team with general case related tasks. • Assisting with statutory case tasks and maintaining diary updates. • Preparing 6 monthly case reviews. • Preparing Annual Progress Reports. • Preparing Remuneration Approval Reports. • General office tasks. • Setting up new cases on IPS (restructuring software- training will be provided) and preparing all relevant paperwork for new cases. • Prepare routine correspondence and meet statutory filing deadlines. • Dealing with initial notices to Registrar of Companies, court, advertisements and reports to creditors following appointment. • Set up of creditors and debtors on IPS and maintaining creditors and debtor files with up to date control schedules, dealing with creditor queries and disputes. • Take minutes of statutory meetings. • Arrange for control and custody of company records. • Be proactive in dealing with outstanding matters on the assignments. Person Specification • Proficient and competent in using MS Office. • Self-sufficient, with the ability to plan and manage own time and tasks. • Team worker. • Friendly and outgoing personality with a confident, professional approach. • Dynamic individual who is eager to learn and develop. • Good people and verbal communication skills, being able to confidently and articulately deal with all parties in what can sometimes be difficult situations. • Good written communication; including a high standard of letter writing. • Organised and methodical with an ability to prioritise. • Able to produce high quality, detailed and accurate work. • Able to work on own initiative to strict deadlines and under pressure. • Must be enthusiastic and willing to learn.
