This is a great opportunity for a biologist with a background in fermentation and genetic engineering techniques to employ these in an R&D-focussed chemical manufacturing firm in the Cheshire region. The Fermentation Scientist role is ideal for a recent PhD graduate in the relevant field or an industry-based specialist looking to build a broader skillset through close liaison with professional chemists for excellent career progression potential. Your day to day duties as a Fermentation Scientist will be: Performing scale-up of microbial fermentation processes Researching novel or modified microbial strains Learning the chemical aspects to add value towards large scale production Liaising with local internal and external personnel, travelling to academic and industry conferences You will be an ideal candidate with this background: A degree or PhD in a related biology field Some microbe-screening skills The desire to work with both chemists and biologists A good team-working approach This client is already scheduling interviews for the role so I would like you to apply immediately with a CV (Word document format, 2 pages maximum) so as to not miss out on the opportunity.
