Advert ORKNEY HEALTH AND CARE Health and Community Care Hamnavoe House Night Social Care Assistant 31.74 hours per week, Shift working over seven days Permanent £27,636 - £29,150 pro rata (Including shift allowance and Distant Islands Allowance) Salary as at 1 April 2020 You will be required to carry out tasks and duties delegated by senior staff in an effective and efficient manner ensuring at all times the social and domestic care needs of service users are met. You will observe the principles of confidentiality in all aspects of practice and ensure the safety and comfort of service users, attending to their general care and wellbeing; including assisting with personal care in keeping with the standards of care required by the Care Inspectorate. Previous experience in social care is highly desirable. You should hold an SVQ 2 in Social Care, or other relevant qualification, to enable registration with the SSSC as a Support Worker in a Care Home Service or achieve this within 5 years of appointment. You must also register with SSSC as a Support Worker in a Care Home Service within 6 months of appointment.
