Overview
Occupational Health Nurse- Dunfermline Hours: 2 days a week- Monday & Tuesday Our client is a market leading provider who are looking for an enthusiastic team player looking for an Occupational Health Nurse to join their expanding team in Dunfermline. This a fantastic opportunity to work within a multi-disciplinary team running clinics, and health surveillance within clinic sites. The role will consist of general medicals and health surveillance but also emergency response cover as required. The successful individual will need to hold a full UK drivers license because they will be required to drive the emergency response vehicle on site. • To provide professional advice, support and guidance to the client and wider multidisciplinary team. Act as a professional role model. • To assess new clients presenting to Occupational Health providing sound clinical advice and treatment. • To assess client’s fitness to work for the appropriate job role in line with DHC policies and guidelines and issue appropriate fitness certificates to the line manager, client and file copy. • To write letters to GP/Specialists in line with the Access to Medical Reports Act and Data Protection Act. • To respond to client/manager’s requests for support/information on the working environment. • To provide clinical assessment of clients presenting with minor illness and injury. • To provide competent treatment/referral of clients under DHC guidelines and PGDs. • To maintain appropriate records in line with departmental protocols on record keeping • To provide health surveillance in accordance with current legislation, undertake a wider range of clinical activities by ensuring appropriate training, updating and monitoring of relevant training programmes. In line with DHC policies and guidelines. • To ensure clinical assessment skills are maintained in line with best practice. • Any other duties within the scope of the post commensurate with grade • To provide clinical support to the first aid provision on site Requirements and Qualifications: • Registration with NMC Part 1 • Previous experience/qualification in emergency nursing/A&E • You must be a Registered nurse with a valid nurse pin • Experience in Occupational Health would be preferable • Proactive team player • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Proficient in Microsoft Office. •
