Trainee Accountant

A small and successful Accountancy Practice based near Uckfield are currently seeking a Trainee Accountant to assist them in the provision of their wide range of accountancy and taxation services. Extensive on the job training will be provided for the successful applicant, combined with the opportunity to work towards achieving the full AAT qualification. Key skills and responsibilities: Draft and prepare accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships and LLP’s. Draft Statutory Accounts for limited companies. Assist with the independent examination and verification of client accounts and records. Assist in the production of personal tax returns. Prepare draft tax computations and Corporation Tax returns Preparation of Management Accounts. To be considered, applicants must possess some accountancy experience, ideally involving accounts preparation or bookkeeping, and combine this with an AAT qualification or be studying for this. The determination and ambition to develop a career in Accountancy and a familiarity with MS Office and accountancy software packages e.g. Xero, Quickbooks, Sage and Payroll, are also essential.
