Overview
Transport Planner £30k pa, 48hrs on 4 on 4 off shift basis, Days, 6am-6pm Keighley Interaction Recruitment have a great opportunity for an experienced Transport Planner to work for a Logistics company based in near Bradford. Working alongside the Transport Manager, you will be providing support in delivering HGV services throughout the UK. Day to day duties within the role will include: -Daily planning of routes for over 50 vehicles -Planning and loading of trailers for groupage deliveries -Driver briefs and de-briefs -Manage vehicle routing processes and fleet tracker to optimise fuel efficiency -Liaise with internal and external customers and drivers -Co-ordinate Vehicle and Trailer servicing and MOT’s -Working alongside Customer Advisor's team to resolve any external issues Key skills needed for this role include: -Minimum of 2 years’ experience of working in a Traffic Office or in a similar role -Good Geographical knowledge of the UK road network -Good Planning skills -Knowledge of all Tachograph and Digi-card rules and regulations -Punctual, thorough and possess a good work ethic -Good communication and telephone manners -Being able to work in collaboration with other departments -Responding quickly and efficiently to short notice changes in work loads and tasks -Good I.T skills and knowledge Having a flexible attitude towards your work, including shift working times to suit my client’s needs are a must.
