Senior Care Assistant (Nights) based at Horfield Lodge, Bristol Available Hours: Permanent - Full Time - 33 hours per week. (Nights) Commutable from Bishopston, Ashley Down and surrounding areas. Would you like to make a positive contribution to benefit older people? You will play an essential role in leading care and ancillary staff members in all aspects of our service to residents, including deputising for senior managers at times. The ability to form positive relationships with residents, their families and professional colleagues is vital. You will need to demonstrate your commitment to good care practise through a QCF or equivalent Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care, and practical experience of caring for older people, as well as the willingness to train to develop further. MHA's 73 place purpose-built care home on Kellaway Avenue in Bristol is named to reflect the history of the area. It recalls a large house of the same name that was on the site in 1881. As well as 29 places for dementia specialist care and 25 for nursing care, the home also offers 19 care suites - one and two bedroom apartments available for individuals or couples, all with 24-hour support. There is a diverse range of activities available for those who wish to participate, including talks, demonstrations, musical events and outings, and each individual resident's hobbies and interests are catered for.
