Overview

We are currently looking to recruit a Supply Chain Capacity Manager to join our planning team at our head office in Leeds. This is a Specialist role tasked with overseeing the utilisation / storage capacity of the distribution network in relation to prevailing stock policies and customer demand forecasts. As Supply Chain Capacity Manager you will be the expert on site and overall network capacities and capabilities. As we progress on our journey to manage key resources within the supply chain, we need a proactive analytical individual that can manage a number of stakeholders to ensure we utilise our warehouse footprint effectively and efficiently to support the delivery of some of the UK's biggest dairy brands. This is a challenging position and will be involved in moving the way we operate to a new level as we push to exceed customer and operational expectations. Key Responsibilities Some of your key responsibilities in the role will include: Taking a strategic and tactical view of warehouse capacity and short-term and long-term requirements Continuous monitoring of actual stock levels by plant versus forecast and working capacity Tracking KPIs relating to network capacity utilisation Tactical volume re-allocation around the network to maintain balance and minimal overall cost (considering production constraints, systems and Masterdata, customer’s requirements and route-to-market) Assessing impact of seasonality and any requirements for third party warehousing Working with Supply Planners to reduce stock levels where appropriate and liaising with global teams to take additional stock when required Leading quarterly Inventory Review Meetings and support Supply Planning Depot Review forums in the UK Skills The successful candidate will have experience of working within a similar planning role in FMCG. Highly numerate and analytical, you will have well-developed problem-solving skills. You will be customer focussed and commercially aware and enjoy both working within and leading teams. You will have a sound understanding of inventory management theory and principles as well as warehouse operations, inch capacity and resource planning. With effective communication skills you will have the ability to develop relationships with a range of stakeholders and work to tight deadlines. You will have a continuous improvement mindset and will be confident in managing and promoting change and can also demonstrate strong project management skills. Finally you will also be an experienced user of CAST Aurora or an equivalent modelling system and ideally experienced with SAP systems.
