Overview

The Role: Based in primarily in Stone with occasional travel to customer sites, we are looking for an eager and assertive Quality & Continuous Improvement Engineer to join a specialist team within the power sector. Tasked with driving and implement Quality & Continuous Improvement across the division, you will report on the progress of improvements to all team members and management providing on-going support and delivery of department strategy whilst driving a change culture alongside the Q & OpEx team. Key Responsibility: Quality o Own and manage the Quality KPI's processes and reporting, support raising, managing and closing issues o Attending meetings with departments to improve business processes and procedures and perform Root Cause Analysis o Performing audits against internal audit plans on key business activities o Follow up non-conformances to closure o Ensuring Lessons Learned workshops are held and utilized on future projects o Drive Quality focus across the business o Design and lead a Quality and CI roadshow o Create effective communication plans driving engagement o Create business and project quality plans o Own and deliver quality in our service organisation Continuous Improvement o Use Quality to KPI's to form six sigma improvement projects and support team members in delivery and financial benefit capture o Drive improvement culture across the division supporting coaching, training and development of individuals to recognize and generate improvement projects via the use of LEAN Six Sigma creating local experts o Lead and play supporting role in improvement projects o Seeks ways to improve and simplify for the customer. The Company: Our client is an Engineering Services company, who are an international technical consultancy, providing a range of services including licence to operate, asset management, manufacturing improvement and capital investment to customers in the chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and consumer industries worldwide Essential Skills / Qualifications: Electrical Engineering qualification Experience within Continuous improvement and quality, delivering process improvement and capturing benefits Experience of Root Cause Analysis and 8D Can analyse data and provide relevant reports Comfortable interacting and challenging team members Experience in internal quality auditing Desirable Skills / Qualifications: Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 &18001 standards Audit experience/ qualification Green Belt Six Sigma qualification Knowledge of Electricity supply, Nuclear and Rail industries Knowledge of quality management About Fircroft: Fircroft has been placing people in specialist technical industries for approaching half a century, focusing on mid to senior level engineers for contract and permanent roles worldwide.
