Overview
SharePoint administrator. Function : Information Technology Raytheon UK has an opportunity for an experienced IT professional to fill the role of Senior SharePoint Developer within the UK Information Technology function. The function is responsible for the delivery of SharePoint based solutions IT to all UK based divisions to successfully enable our expanding business and assure operational delivery to critical functions and services. This position involves the day to day management and support of two SharePoint 2013 farms as well as leading SharePoint improvement initiatives and the migration of legacy systems, such as EMC Documentum into SharePoint. The role will also give the individual the opportunity to shape the future of the SharePoint platform within the company with future concepts involving other business units within the larger organisation as well as partners and customers. Main Duties Be the lead SharePoint technical specialist within the department, providing advice and assistance to all areas of the business and acting as the service champion. Provide full support, development and administration of the SharePoint system. Convert functional/business requirements into technical SharePoint solutions utilising the full project development lifecycle Configuration and maintenance of SharePoint application front/back end and associated storage farm. Configuration and maintenance of Service Applications including managed metadata, search and users profile services Configuration and maintenance of the Raytheon UK security policies for sites across the platform, including SharePoint permissions. Analysing and reporting upon Raytheon UK SharePoint usage, activity and tuning. Monitor SharePoint Health Analyser and associated rules including audit logs for any issues in the system; regular review of events and messages reported. Regular auditing, review, clean-up, management and configuration of SharePoint accounts and sites including the creation, deletion, moving and copying of sites across the platform. Including site collection and site templates. Creation and management of list/document libraries and content types. Monitoring usage analysis, data storage, quotas, and tuning including determining indexing schedules. Monitoring and updating allowable/prohibited file type storage. Administering search engine configuration and optimisation, system backups and routine releases and upgrades to the application Championing the increase of knowledge in the team supporting SharePoint. Providing other application development and maintenance duties as required. Candidate Requirements Essential – Technical Skills Extensive knowledge of SharePoint 2013 and associated technologies: Web Parts, Master Pages, Managed Metadata, and SharePoint Designer, including topology and architecture. Extensive experience of SharePoint development technologies and methodologies, including solutions using the NET Framework, particularly C#.NET, ASP.NET & PowerShell Extensive experience of creating, configuration and customizing of SharePoint sites Experience of SharePoint Designer and using templates, branding layouts and master pages Experience with SharePoint user authentication using CA SiteMinder and Active Directory Experience with developing workflows using Visual Studio and SharePoint Designer Experience with SharePoint migrations tools such as Metalogix Experience of incorporating 3rd party web parts into SharePoint solutions Experience creating and managing an enterprise data taxonomy, Information Architecture, Search configuration and governance Demonstrate ability to stay current with state-of-the-art trends in the enterprise content management technology domain. Experience in developing InfoPath forms, workflows and enhancing SharePoint out-of-box web parts to design solutions Thorough understanding of SharePoint best practices including creating an enterprise-wide data taxonomy, fault tolerance and back-up strategies Understanding of Web technologies (JQuery, CSS and HTML) and PowerShell scripting, InfoPath forms and BI capabilities Experience in working with customers to gather and document both functional and technical requirements Ability to leverage and promote the capabilities of SharePoint as a platform for business use and productivity Ability to write clear and concise technical documentation Microsoft SharePoint 2013 Certified Desirable Current SC Clearance Experience of technical team leadership and mentorship including strategic direction Experience with using all versions of SQL Server (SQL Server 2014 beneficial) and its integration with SharePoint with the ability to troubleshoot issues Mark-up and presentational/transformational languages such as CAML, XML, XHTML, CSS, and XSL About Raytheon UK With facilities in Broughton, Waddington, Glenrothes, Harlow, Gloucester and Manchester, Raytheon UK is invested in the British workforce and the development of UK technology.
