We have been secured a funding from the CCG on an exciting development of our Hospice at Home services across the whole of Cambridgeshire, so more end of life patients can receive the care and support throughout the county.The enhanced services will enable one point of access for patients, bring in a 24hour advice service as well as a rapid response service to avoid patients/carers going into crisis mode. We are currently starting a significant increase in staff, beginning in the Fenland and East of Cambridgeshire area, therefore, if you have a relevant healthcare experience and would like to undertake an NVQ 3 in Health and Social care, then please do not hesitate, we would like to hear from you As part of the Hospice at Home Team, based at Alan Hudson Day Centre in Wisbech, you will work with patients, carers and registered nurses in the delivery of end of life care. You will provide safe, effective and responsive care that meets the physical, spiritual, emotional and social needs of patients and their families/carers. You will work directly and alone with patients and families in their own homes, on a shift basis (between 8am-10pm). There might be possible work with other care agency staff or in residential/nursing homes as well. The successful candidates will have experience of working independently, ability to emphatise with the needs of the clients and to work under pressure and in difficult/emotional situations. Previous care experience as a Nursing Auxiliary or equivalent with palliative patients will be required.
