Permanent Software Developer Recruitment Agency Reference: 6919190 Location: London Salary: Competitive Venn Group is working alongside a global exchange company to recruit a Software Developer. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the existing trading applications whilst working towards delivering the next generation cloud-first solutions. You will work as part of a small team to deliver software, systems and solutions that allows the client to meet customers’ needs to the highest standard. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Writing clean code that satisfies business requirements in a maintainable and future-proof way and providing peer code-reviews to colleagues Assisting the Lead Developer & the Head of IT to ensure that the systems we support are always available, secure and perform at the levels required to meet the needs of the business Contributing to discussions regarding process and system improvements across the entire business, to continually drive improvement into everything we do Keeping current with changes and new developments in relevant technologies and bringing new ideas and suggestions forward Providing support and assistance to the business for existing systems, helping to resolve issues that colleagues and customers identify in a timely manner Delivering projects on time that meet the agreed requirements and business needs Essential skills include: Experience working with Azure, or other cloud providers Solid understanding of the Microsoft web development stack; ASP.NET MVC/Web API, C#, VB.NET, SQL Server and standard web technologies; HTML, JavaScript, jQuery and CSS Strong knowledge of SOLID Principles Knowledge of reporting tools Agile Development and Test Driven Development SCRUM Framework Proactive and highly organised, with strong time management and planning skills Analytical and inquisitive with excellent attention to detail Proactive and positive in attitude Desirable skills include: CRM Dynamics, SignalR, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and Microsoft Message Queuing (MSMQ) Experience using AngularJS with gulp, Bower and Node.js to develop front-end web applications Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) Experience with various testing techniques including the V-Model Good understanding of the principles of functional programming Knowledge of Data-warehousing and Business Intelligence Knowledge of Data Integration Tools If you are interested in this position or would like to find out more about similar roles please contact Josh Vallance on and email your updated CV to Venn Group is an equal opportunities employment business and employment agency and welcomes applications from all candidates.
