Field Service Technician

Due to an internal promotion, Shawcor Inspection Systems is looking for a Field Service Technician to provide ongoing support to our various prestige customers spread over the UK. As the Field Service Technician your duties will include: Carrying out servicing, planned preventative maintenance and repair on a range of industrial NDT equipment such as Industrial Radiography at customer sites over the UK. Assisting with the build and installation of new equipment. Undertaking 'standby' duties. Identifying product and process improvements. Working from the Great Yarmouth office when no servicing is scheduled. We are interested in speaking to people with the following skills and experience: Previous experience in an electrical or servicing engineering role. Level 3 inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations. 18th Edition Wiring Regs. Experience of control systems and PLC's. A full UK driving licence as travelling to customer sites across the UK is required, sometimes on short notice. Due to the nature of this role, you will require the ability to pass high-level security clearances. SIS utilizes its dedicated R&D capabilities to address extensive and diverse applications in a wide range of industries including aeronautical, space, ordnance / military, nuclear, materials and oil and gas. In return, the Field Service Technician will receive a salary of £27,000 - £30,000 pa plus paid overtime and site uplifts. Shawcor also offers 25 days of annual leave per year, plus 8 bank holidays and a company pension scheme.
