Technical Architect
Overview
The Technical Architect (TA) role provides a dedicated technical and consultative resource to the Sales and Customer Success teams when consulting with new and existing clients during the sales process. This involves in-person and remote meetings, designing technical solutions, creating proposals/diagrams and handing off to an implementation team. Position Responsibilities · Serve as technical resource during a sale for new and existing sales · Gather information required to complete technical designs · Provide design support and solutions based on ECI’s standards · Translate and communicate complex technical requirements and design considerations to current clients and prospects · Serve as resident technical expert on ECI’s solutions · Create visual aid presentation materials via Visio for clients · Help to improve the technical skill set of ECI’s sales team by attending training sessions and group seminars · Performs other duties as assigned Position Requirements · BA/BS degree in computer science, business or related field · 5 years’ experience in a Technical/Cloud/Solution Architect, Sales Engineering or Systems Engineering role · Exceptional verbal and written communication skills · Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills · Strong documentation skills · Ability to absorb and retain information quickly · Ability to present technical ideas in user-friendly language · Highly self-motivated and directed · Capable of multitasking in a high pace environment, effectively and efficiently · Client Service focused · Basic understanding of Financial Industry · Familiarity with Salesforce.com or similar CRM tool Technical Experience · Thorough understanding of the following technologies: Microsoft Cloud: Office 365, Teams, SharePoint, Intune Azure AD, Conditional Access, Azure servers/storage Networks, routers, firewalls, switching, circuits, wireless Server hardware and Storage Microsoft Windows Server, MS Exchange, SQL Server Mobile Device Management, Remote access (VPN/Citrix XenApp) VMware, MFA · Preferred knowledge and experience with the following: Cybersecurity Financial Applications WS/G Suite Technical certifications from Microsoft, Cisco, Security, etc. Working Conditions · Ability to work in an independent environment with moderate supervision · Ability to work under a moderate noise level (i.e. working on an open floor with printers, telephones, and computers) · Ability to travel for business and work beyond normal business hours when necessary · Ability to be flexible and successfully respond to multiple work pressures · Sitting for extended periods of time · Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and to handle other computer components About ECI ECI is a leading provider in the financial industry of cloud and technical solutions.
