Exciting opportunity for Classroom Teacher: ASD and Complex Needs KS 1 and 2 Required for September 2020- Fulltime Post Salary: Mainscale The Brook Special Primary School fosters an environment where pupils and staff can thrive. All of our children have complex learning needs and disabilities including ASD, ADHD, Sensory and challenging behaviour and are taught a bespoke modified national curriculum by highly professional teaching and support staff. The Governors are looking for a highly skilled practitioner with experience of teaching children with special needs and a passion for promoting lifelong learning so that our children are equipped to lead the lives they wish to live into adulthood. The BILC is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All posts are subject to pre-employment checks. References will be sought and successful candidates will need to undertake an enhanced DBS check. The successful candidate will: Be an outstanding special needs classroom practitioner with the interpersonal skills to manage a large class team and to work collaboratively with multi agency staff; with the mainstream primary school and with parents/carers. Have a clear focus on achievement, progress and improving outcomes for pupils with additional needs and know what factors allows these children to progress. Be committed to inclusion and to enabling all pupils to succeed in all areas of their educational experiences in school and out in the wider community Be committed to participating in Continuous Professional Development.
