Then look no further… HMP Leeds is a Local Cat B remand prison with an operational capacity of 1,212. So what can we offer? We recognise training and development is key, therefore we have online and face to face training to facilitate for your needs. You'll gain insight and training in Mental Health and Substance Misuse. New to prison healthcare? Don't worry We'll provide you with a suitable induction and you'll receive support throughout your first 6 months and beyond. In this environment we appreciate flexibility around working hours hence we are willing to accommodate part time requests and working across multiple sites. We offer a competitive annual salary plus reimbursed payments of MDU/MPS subscription and CPD days (pro-rata for part-time working). Furthermore should you wish there are plenty of opportunities for extra shifts and overtime either at HMP Leeds or other prisons within our Yorkshire cluster. Relocation can be considered for permanent employees. This can be discussed at interview stage. A little bit about the job As a member of our Multi-Disciplinary Team, you'll provide clinical assessment and diagnosis to patient’s requirements and make timely decisions regarding future management. You'll also provide a highly specialist resource to other healthcare staff, patients and carers and have active involvement in clinical governance/effectiveness activities. It doesn’t end there; you will have a chance to become actively involved in audit, teaching and training (management of substance misuse and/or blood borne viruses) as well as helping us to adapt the service to the ever-changing needs of the patients. A little bit about you As a MBChB or MBBS qualified GP, you’ll be registered with the GMC and on a PCT Medical Performers List. Special interests in BBV, LTC and Substance Misuse are highly desirable, as is RCGP Part 1.
