You will be responsible for providing a specialist clinical pharmacy service to the prison, ensuring high quality, safe, effective, legal and accurate use of medicines; covering the other pharmacists when they're off-site. You will also have key responsibility of supporting and supervising the pharmacy technicians also working at HMP Channing's Wood. The main focus of the work will be to provide a dispensary and wing based clinical pharmacy service and work with the Principal Pharmacist on providing medicines management support to a number of different wings. The ability to work in a highly stressful and pressurized environment is key. What we need from you? You will be a qualified Registered Pharmacist- BSc or Master’s Degree in Pharmacy, holding registration with the general Pharmaceutical Council. Utilising your existing pharmacy experience gained in community, hospitals or custodial environments. You’ll have a flexible approach working within a team that encourages new ideas. If you are self-motivated and able to work autonomously as well as showing plenty of initiative when it comes to handling a wide range of situations, then this could be the right role for you More information This is a permanent role, working 28.5 hours per week. The rate of pay is up to £45,000 DOE per annum.
