Bank Reconciliation Clerk | Northwich Salary up to £22, 000 per annum Our client is a large global organisation - Walters People are partnering this growing business in their search for a Bank Reconciliations Clerk. This is a newly created role and will join a rapidly growing and evolving team, covering all areas of finance from central functions such as accounts receivable and payable, treasury, tax and internal audit amongst other commercial divisions. To be considered for the Bank Reconciliations role you'll have experience as follows: Prior experience in an account's role would be an advantage but not essential - it is however essential that you understand the basics of double entry booking. Ability to use MS Office (good knowledge of Excel) Familiar with Sage or similar software Able to work with attention to detail Ability to manage time efficiently Be able to work to deadlines. Bank Reconciliations Clerk - The Role: You will be responsible for reconciling an allocated number of banks each day that have been uploaded into the system by you or a member of the team. Ensure that the relevant postings are made to match the sage balance back to the bank balance. Send journals to the cash team for them to reconcile the daily web sales and correspond with purchase ledger and sales ledger to ensure they are making all the postings required for you to reconcile your banks. Use of Microsoft Access database to complete the above. You will also be responsible for any unreconciling items at the end of the month, any items moved to the 'rec items' code must be reversed back into the bank at the start of the new month and the relevant teams should be chased to get the postings made.
