Overview
General Manager. We are looking for the main piece of the puzzle for one of our independent pubs in the heart of this amazing city. An independently minded General Manager with a passion for drink and customer service. We want a General Manager who seeks the opportunity to run his/her own business. We are recruiting for a passionate, hands-on General Manager who must be: A natural host who gets a buzz from great service Inspiring to their team and a natural leader Extremely competent in understanding finance, analysis & cost control A recruitment, training and development professional Strict in delivering compliance policy maintenance Happy working closely with the venue management team, operations manager and director towards common goals of sales growth and happy guests Interested in and capable with using social media Adaptable to situations and change to get the job done Experienced working in a late night venue Good hands on knowledge of cocktails, craft and cask ale The General Manager will strive for service and product excellence, helping to continue to put the venue and the group firmly in the hearts of the Birmingham people and continuing its strong presence on the bar and cocktail scene. Experience of working with cocktails is essential and proven sales building experience would be very advantageous. Fed up of working 60/70 hours a week with no work/life balance and having no input into how your bar progresses? We offer a 5 day, 48 hour week contract because a good work/life balance is important to us as well as offering autonomy to run the venue as your own which will help define your career path. Remuneration A Competitive salary of £28,000 to £30,000 per annum including achievable 20% bonus scheme, healthcare and pension.
