Overview
Process Engineer – Thin Film Deposition A leading provider of vacuum and image detection systems serving the scientific and life science world, due to growth are now looking for an additional Production Engineer to join their existing production team in the production of vacuum products. Reporting into the Operations Manager and working as part of a small team you will be responsible for running experiments on deposition techniques to improve processes; providing support to production on any issues that arise; diagnosing problems / issues with the equipment used in the process; provide support to the research & development function as well as building and testing of parts. Individuals are likely to be qualified to degree, MSc or PHD within Physics, Chemical Physics or Material Science and be able to demonstrate industry or academic exposure to thin film technology and deposition techniques such as PVD, CVD, MBE or ALD; demonstrate an understanding or experience of the movement of electrons, semi-conductor theory and vacuum technology. This position is offering a salary in the region of £22,000 - £28,000, pension scheme, non-contractual monthly, quarterly and annual bonuses based on company performance, 20 days holiday rising 1 day per year with service up to 25 and free parking.
