Senior Software Test Engineer

Hunter Talent are delighted to be working with a leading technology business who are on the hunt for a Senior Test Engineer with web and mobile experience to work across multiple projects. The environment is a mix of manual and automated however they are looking to be fully automated this year. As an experienced Tester, you will have ideally created frameworks or built on existing frameworks so that you can be an integral part of this transition. You will work closely with the development team and have strong involvement in weekly stand up's and scrum meetings. As the Senior Test Engineer, you will plan, execute and integrate test released software and associated hardware. The role also involves verification of the compatibility of new hardware components. To execute ad hoc platform testing as and when issues are raised or as required, such as supplier platform changes. Some awesome benefits you will receive: Flexible work hours Work from home option Amazing/relaxed work environment 28 days holiday Amazing pension Health insurance Death in service Key Responsibilities: Create accurate and timely estimates for the testing phase of a project and track to these Train and mentor junior test engineers Create and review test artefacts that maximise the efficiency of the test phase, cover all requirements and allow for a timely delivery Review and feedback on source documents used to create testing artefacts Execute testing within defined stage of development e.g. exploratory, regression etc. Take responsibility for the full end to end testing phase, working with your own team and coordinating cross divisional test activities where necessary Produce effective test metrics for the Test Team Lead Attend and contribute to all relevant meetings Deputise for the Test Team Leader when necessary Personal Skills Required: Attention to detail Problem solving / self-starting nature - always providing solutions and options Calm and methodical approach to conflicting situations Active and enthusiastic team player Test Analyst experience Proactive approach to the role Able to plan own time to ensure deadlines are met Engaging personality able to develop good relationships Qualifications or Relevant Experience: Domain, component or product knowledge Testing experience Proven experience in designing and implementing test artefacts Proven experience in Software Development Life Cycle and methodologies If this sounds like the job for you then drop us your CV and one of the Hunter Talent team will be in touch for a confidential chat.
