The company I'm working with have been supplying precision engineered components to aerospace, medical and general industry for many years. They have developed a reputation for producing products of a very high quality from their purpose-built facility just off junction 9 of the M5 motorway in Tewkesbury which is easily commutable from Gloucester, Cheltenham, Stonehouse, Malvern, Worcester and surrounding areas. We're looking for an experienced Production Planner to work closely with the Production Manager, planning customer orders through the facility, working towards on time in full order fulfilment. Main Duties of the Production Planner Development of production plans for department supervisors to include CNC machining, finishing, inspection, packing and dispatch Monitoring production output against plan, flagging items for prioritisation Monitoring 'delivery to customer' performance against customer schedules Managing customer expectations, providing timely feedback on queries Reporting production levels to senior management team Creating purchase orders on MRP system and generating correct paperwork Speaking with sub contractors to confirm order volumes, confirming expected delivery dates and tracking progress Releasing materials to suppliers, according to schedules and forecasts, chasing up as and when needed Attending production meetings to report current and planned figures Producing reports daily, weekly and monthly Scanning of completed paperwork onto the company's MRP system. About you - essential requirements for the Production Planner role Previous experience working as a Production Planner in an engineering environment (ideally CNC Machining or a similarly complex setting) Previous supervisory experience in an engineering role Strong organisational skills, able to establish priorities quickly Excellent verbal and written communication skills Computer literate, experienced in using Microsoft Word and Excel Experience of working with company materials planning system (ERP/MRP) Qualifications Preferably degree educated in a related discipline Sounds like you?
