Class 2 Delivery Driver Hermitage Description An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Class 2 qualified Delivery Driver to join our team at our Hermitage site. The successful candidate’s primary role will be delivery driving, however there will also be a requirement to assist in the operations of the site to meet the commercial requirements of the individual business units whilst maximising efficiency and upholding quality, health, safety and environmental standards. Roles and Responsibilities • The transportation of product from the crop protection store and delivery to customer premises • To prepare loads for despatch • Maintain the delivery vehicle and ensure it is clean and tidy • Report any defects to company vehicle immediately to the Site Manager • Assist site manager in operation of site as required • Assist the site manager to comply with Health and Safety, Fire and Environmental legislation • Ensure compliance with the company Health, Safety and Environmental policies • Co-operate and engage in health, safety and environment training as required • To keep records as required by Health and Safety • Provide support to the site manager to run the site in a safe and efficient manner • Liaise with Site Management regarding production planning and store utilisation • Keep records as required by Quality Assurance or any relevant government legislation • Ensure accurate paperwork is completed where required • To liaise with the Logistics coordinator on distribution • To communicate with stores person regarding stock movements and packaging problems Position Requirements • Full Class 2 driving licence • ADR trained • Able to cope under pressure and work towards deadlines • A flexible approach to working hours specifically in peak periods • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships both internally and externally. • Ability to work co-operatively with others and independently at times without supervision
