Overview

Spencer Clarke Group are working closely with Halton Borough Council to appoint a Quality Assurance Lead for EHCP’s to their team. The role is on an agency contract for a minimum of 5 months which is highly likely to be extended on an ongoing basis. Rate of Pay - £20 - £26 per hour. Negotiable depending on experience. Location – Cheshire, WA7 2ES. Main Purpose of the role: To work with key stakeholders to develop a borough wide moderation process aimed at improving the quality and consistency of all EHCPs. Key Responsibilities: To assist the Lead for Assessment and Provision in managing the EHCP process. To establish and implement a robust borough wide moderation process to improve the timeliness, quality and consistency of all EHCPs. To lead on the quality assurance of all EHCPs ensuring they reflect the requirements of other statutory and non-statutory plans. To support, develop and maintain effective multi-agency working that ensures the provision of well-co-ordinated EHCPs. Monitor the ECHP process to ensure compliance with statutory timescales. To develop clear guidance for children and young people, parents/carers, schools and setting on the EHCP process. To provide advice, support and guidance to the Assessment Co-ordination team on the ECHP process. To develop and monitor the process of reviewing EHCP plans. Keep abreast of national, regional and local educational developments, research and good practice related to Education, Health and Care Plans. To engage in Continuing Professional Development.
