Overview
A leading Engineering Solutions Provider are a seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join their team. Role Responsibilities · Manage requirements and requirement attributes in DOORS. · Prepare technical reports, presentations and attend regular meetings with all involved parties. · Primary customer contact and project lead · Internal and external project reporting · Responsible for delivery meeting contractual and quality requirements · Managing equipment and systems development, through full product life-cycle · Defining and reviewing qualification and validation tests · Coordinate with systems and equipment suppliers · Mentoring the R&T team and support on technical questions · Requirements capture & management: Capture Customer & End user needs and distil into Functional and non-functional requirements. Manage the derivation & flow-down of lower-level (Subsystem / component) Requirements. · System Architecture definition: from the agreed System requirements, assist in the definition of candidate System architectures. Undertake candidate trade-off studies / Decision Analysis to arrive at agreed Functional & Physical Solution Architecture · System Design: create detailed system / subsystem designs, including buy / team / make decisions, specification of internal / external interface definitions & information flows · Ensure Specialty Engineering (Safety, Security, ILS) is fully integrated within the Systems Design lifecycle with emphasis on reducing whole-lifecycle costs and ensuring that a supportability solution is “engineered in” · Writing interface control documentation Background and Experience · 7 years Systems Engineering experience · System engineering (Vcycle, requirements management, DOORS access, TRL support) · R&T experience (TRL presentation and preparation) · Aerospace experience · Safety and security (desirable: knowledgeable in DAL assessments). · Software for airborne equipment (DO 178) · Monitoring systems (desirable: landing gear monitoring systems) · Wireless communications (desirable) · Project management (technical planning between tasks) · Very good customer facing · Very good English speaking and writing This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89800863
