Marlow, Buckinghamshire - Senior Firmware Engineer - Competitive Salary - Aerospace Sector Our client designs and manufactures active and passive avionics antennas and electronic control systems for military and civil applications. They are a leading provider of frequency agile VHF tuneable antennas for major avionics companies. their GPS anti-jam technology utilises state of the art DSP algorithms with an active antenna to eliminate both narrow-band and wide-band jamming signals. They have developed world leading technology in Ground Penetrating Radar and RF interference mitigation. Both military and civil users rely on their direction finding systems for search and rescue operations. In your role, you will be responsible for the design, development and verification of embedded products within a team environment. This will range from low level research to market driven product development. You will be involved in the development of architecture as well as design and integration of modules. The range of products you will work on will include digital beam forming applications, radio, direction finding and logic translators for the control of antenna systems. Main Duties: Development of architecture to fulfil system requirements Creation of design and test requirements Firmware design and code Hardware verification and work package estimation Skills and Experience Required: HNC Degree in Maths, Physics or Engineering Ideally, a background in DSP design and verification Firmware lifecycle development and RTL design VHDL, Timing closure and Requirements capture The salary is competitive and negotiable depending on experience.
