Senior Concept Design & Development Engineer - Greater Manchester Working for a highly technical engineering business There are many engineering design/development opportunities out there but there are few that offer genuine concept design and development where you can run your own projects from concept to completion, including testing your prototypes in a state of the art test facility. This is one of the best engineering opportunities on the market right now. Our client design and develop bespoke high-voltage electro-mechanical enclosures. The kit/systems our client makes are highly technical and will require someone with excellent mechanical engineering knowledge, a good understanding of science (specifically physics) and some knowledge of electrical engineering, preferably high-voltage (although this is not an electrical engineering role). Skills & Experience Required: Degree qualified (MSc or Chartership would be beneficial) in an engineering discipline such as mechanical, electro-mechanical, power systems or similar. Working experience of high voltage equipment. Experience and the ability to take an electromechanical product from concept to completion. Proficient with SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Experience designing test rigs and doing own testing (this will be done at a state-of-the-art facility) Excellent knowledge of mechanical engineering and physics.
