Salaried General Practitioner Norwood Surgery require a full time salaried GP A competitive salary within a high earning GP practice in the popular seaside town of Southport. Within easy travel distance of Liverpool, Manchester and stunning rural areas such as the Lake District and Pennines.The practice currently consists of 4 partners, 3 salaried GPs, 3 nurses and supportive admin/reception team caring for a list size of 10,000 patients. Norwood embraces forward thinking GPs and within our team we have a number of different specialist interests from dermatology, orthopaedics, gender dysphoria, palliative care, diabetes and respiratory. As a whole the practice has received several accolades including the BMJ Awards Finals for our work in obesity and diabetes. We were finalists for the General Practice Awards GP team of the year in 2018 after collecting this prize in 2013 and last year we collected the regional prize for the RCGP Mersey Faculty Primary Eco Award 2019. This job would be perfect for GPs who enjoy social prescribing and lifestyle medicine as we are currently one of the leading practices within our region and utilise lifestyle medicine within our day to day consultations to promote a holistic wellbeing for our patients. We are a training practice with places for three registrars and which offer high levels of support and training in any areas of development for GP registrars and indeed all staff. The friendly and supportive atmosphere within Norwood is enhanced by daily coffee time where interesting or challenging cases can be discussed for group feedback or you can just enjoy a social discussion to unwind from the morning clinic. The post-holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.
