Night Senior Care Assistant St Audrey’s Residential Home - Old Hatfield, Hertfordshire Salary: £8.53 per Hours: Part time / Full time hours are available St Audrey’s is an intimate residential care home for 38 people in, Old Hatfield Hertfordshire. The building itself is a beautiful 19th century manor house with rooms that are as individual as their residents. The home provides personalised care and supports people to live as independently as any health conditions will allow. It can provide care and support for people living with dementia and Alzheimer’s and is now looking to recruit a new Senior Care Assistant. The home enjoys a warm and welcoming atmosphere and residents can use the bright and airy communal areas and lounges. In addition the home provides daily stimulating and enjoyable activities for residents. Families and friends visiting can enjoy the accessible grounds and gardens with their loved ones. Our ideal Senior Care Assistant candidate will have: Experience of leading and directing teams to deliver high quality care and support. Care Certificate, or QCF Diploma in Health & Social Care Level 2 or related qualification would be an asset. Able to attend team meetings on a regular basis to feedback information on the progress of individual service users, and to undertake regular supervisions as required by Heritage Care policy. To support new staff by assisting with their induction training, and where directed, by mentoring. To support the CTL in the efficient and effective running of the designated House. If appropriate, having successfully completed training, to work as a ‘Shift Leader’. The postholder may be directed from time to time by the appropriate Manager or CTL to carry out other duties and responsibilities commensurate with their post, grade, knowledge and experience. Experience of supporting adults in a care setting or in the community. Empathy, kind hearted and a great team player. An awareness and understanding of high-quality care. Good communication skills, patience and flexibility. An understanding of safeguarding and person-centred support. A flexible working pattern and able to do shift patterns including working alternate weekends.
