Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Production Manager for a prolific client based in Dunstable. We are looking for an experienced manager with working knowledge of production environments and bias in quality control, management, process improvements and efficiency. This is a fantastic permanent position with auto enrolment pension, 33 days holiday and the opportunity to join a company growing in their market. The Production Manager will be responsible for their area, adhere to all process control procedures and general leadership of all Area Leader and Production Operatives. This role will encompass different shifts including: 6am - 14.00pm and 14.00pm - 22.00pm Monday to Friday Weekly Rotation. The Production Manager will be responsible for a plethora of key tasks including: Planning labour to ensure efficient delivery of all customer orders in the most efficient way Monitoring hourly productivity using the MCRS Holding shift review meetings Reviewing production processing and looking for ways and ideas to improve efficiency Monitoring product allocation to ensure customer satisfaction All aspects of Health and Safety Mentoring and coaching key personnel Undertaking yearly appraisals for Area Leaders Clear, concise communication to all staff, all shifts and all departments Feedback to the engineering team regarding machinery Liaise with external contractors where appropriate Control costs in with budgetary requirements Liaise with transport to ensure product is always in the correct location and accessible Ensure all basic maintenance activities are carries out by the operational team Be responsible for all Health and Safety and Risk Management including RIDDOR requirements Carrying out all Risk Assessments and implementing any corrective actions All weekly and monthly auditing for Health and Safety and Quality Control Undertake all associated HR duties surrounding staff such as inductions and Return to Work interviews Maintain and ensure efficient compliance of all company policies The Production Manager will be required to have the following skills and experience: Team Management Arranging Staff Effectively (absence management, annual leave etc.) Looking at Data and using it implement Improvements Using an MCRS to improve Production Using an MCRS to produce reports and actions from the data All elements of Health and Safety Processes and Audits Experience of developing Employees IT Systems, ideally Email and Microsoft Office QMS for Output Improvements Inducting, Training and Mentoring Staff
