Overview
Aurora are currently working with a child focused, therapeutic residential home in Leeds and we are looking to recruit a passionate and caring support worker. This organisation first welcomed girls and boys into their residential care homes in 1989. They provide high-quality residential environments around the country to provide a sense of calm, care and belonging to our children/Young people. This position is perfectly suited to a resilient and caring individual that is passionate about working with vulnerable children, making a positive impact in their lives. They are a therapeutic organisation and believe that each child has a unique therapeutic, clinical and educational need. Ideally you will have prior experience with the NVQ level 3 in Children and Young people however we welcome applications from you if you feel you have what it takes to be a strong support worker with training and NVQ courses open to successful individuals. Requirements Must have a Full UK Driving license. Good written and IT skills. Able to communicate with children, colleagues and external customers. Able to actively listen to others. Ability to work individually and as part of a team. Be calm in situations of crisis and follow the lead of a shift leader. Must have a passion for working with children. QCF Level 3 in Children and Young people is desirable. If you do not have this qualification, we will put you through this. Be committed to ongoing professional development and achieve the Level 3 diploma in Children and Young people. Salary and Benefits Up to £21,556 per annum with a bonus for sleep ins.
