Residential Support Worker

A residential setting that we work closely within the Sandwell area is currently looking for permanent support workers to join their growing team. About the role: - Supporting children aged from 8-16 years who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties - Full-time permanent position - Working on a shift basis including an additional sleep allowance - Working as part of a well-established team who have a child-centred approach About the home: - A newly renovated 4 bedded home with excellent facilities - Experienced Registered Manager who has over 15 years’ experience - Strong staffing team - Excellent induction and training - Ofsted ‘Good’ - Two young people currently in placement - Great location - Based in the Sandwell area (B70 7JD) About you: - Have experience supporting young people with SEMH who can present challenging behaviours - Engaging personality with the ability to build a rapport with hard to engage young people - Suitable qualifications for supporting young people (positive handling training such as MAPA/NAPI/Team Teach are desirable but not essential) - Eligible to work in the UK - Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check (registered to the update service) About Smile Education: - Receive regular CPD, training and support from your Smile consultant - Complete confidentiality and guidance If you would like to apply for this exciting opportunity, please send your CV via the website as soon as possible and we will be in touch If you would like to find out more information about the role, please call Jaleesa on To register with Smile or keep up to date with similar positions we have available, please visit the Smile Website.
