Childrens Social Worker

Qualified Social Worker Falkirk Children's Services 3 Month Ongoing £25 ph The role is to operate as part of a Children and Families Service led by a Team Manager, providing a range of Social Work services in terms of the Children and Family Support. Candidates require knowledge and experience of assessment of risk and need and interventions with children and families to address needs and risks. • To be part of a multi-agency assessment of need and risk factors for young people, their families and carers. • To develop a Care Plan to meet assessed needs of children, families and carers. • To deliver a range of services to children, families and their carers including those on the child protection register, children Looked After at Home and those who are Looked After and Accommodated. • To work alongside the wider Social Work Service and partner agencies, particularly Health and Education Services, to address identified needs and risk factors for children, families and carers. • To participate in individual supervision and team meetings as a means of maintaining individual and team development. • To participate in Continuous Professional Development as required by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and with the agreement of the Team Manager. • To take reasonable care for your own health and safety and that of others whilst at work. • To co-operate with Managers and the Council to ensure compliance with safety regulations and the Social Work policy and procedures for health and safety.
