Overview

We are currently recruiting for a brand new role as a Plumbing & Heating Engineer to join a busy company based in Melton Mowbray, as the Engineer you will provide plumbing, heating, drainage, and HVAC support to a small Engineering Team delivering Planned Preventive and Reactive building services to meet regulatory standards along side operational and client demands. The Plumbing & Heating Engineer position is a full-time role working 40hrs per week, the working hours are Monday - Friday 08:00 - 16:30. This role is being offered on a temp to perm basis, you will initially start on a 3 month temporary contract. We are looking for someone to start on Monday 30th March so you must be available to start immediately, please note that you must hold a clean driving licence and have your own vehicle in order to be considered for this role. As the Plumbing & Heating Engineer your duties are as listed below; To carry out maintenance and reactive repair work to heating installations of all types. To carry out maintenance and reactive repair work to plumbing, drainage and sanitation installations of all types To undertake fault-finding, problem-solving, diagnosis and repair to ensure proper performance of the site's plumbing, drainage and heating and HVAC systems To liaise with other staff and external contractors To ensure the timely and proper completion of works to support reasonable operational expectations To ensure appropriate and timely completion of all paperwork, job/time sheets and certification and upload to the internal system To work with the line manager and provide advice and information relating to technical matters Ensure that any required qualifications for this position remain valid and that any necessary training is arranged and undertaken in accordance with appropriate timescales To attend meetings, training sessions as required To participate and provide a rota out of hours emergency service on a periodic basis To carry out, as and when required, any additional tasks and responsibilities that are reasonably requested from the respective line manager Assists with recording, and maintaining legislative documentation along with the completion of electronic planned and reactive work requests Able to undertake, support, and record compliance engineering tasks related to legionella prevention Identify and suggest continuous improvement projects Undertakes maintenance procedures, regular checks and routine inspections in conjunction with the maintenance team To be successful for this role as Plumbing & Heating Engineer you will; Have experience in a similar role Be able to demonstrate experience of innovation and maintenance best practice Hold a recognised trade apprenticeship (Plumbing / heating / HVAC) Have good communication skills Be willing to work additional paid overtime and be part of a callout rota Have excellent customer service skills Be computer literate Hold a clean driving licence with access to your own vehicle In return you will benefit from a supportive environment, competitive pay and future career opportunities.
