Head Chef The Hotel :- Mercure Hatfield Oak Hotel is a 85 bedroom hotel situated in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. The hotel has a 70 cover restaurant; conference and banqueting for up to 120 people with a bar and lounge. The hotel is managed by Focus Hotels Management Limited. The Package :- We are offering a salary of circa £31k depending on experience, free parking, meals on duty and discounted Accor hotel rates (after qualifying period). Duties :- As Head Chef you will be responsible for the day to day operation of the kitchen with a small brigade this will include the ongoing coaching and development of the team to ensure they reach their full potential. Consistently ensure we are producing food of the highest quality and presentation, and always striving to improve and learn. As Head Chef a key part of this role will be menu planning and costing and maintaining the set company food gross profit. Produce restaurant and conference and event menus You will also be responsible for ensuring the health and hygiene and safety is maintained in the kitchen at all times. Also operating within current allergen rules As Head Chef you must be highly organised and results driven and have excellent overall kitchen management competencies. Ideal candidate :- The succesful candidate will be a positive and creative individual who has a passion and ability for creating good food from fresh ingredients we are looking for someone who can lead by example and has the ability to produce good GPs.
