Overview
Solution Architect required by market leading, global financial services organisation based in Cardiff. The Solution Architect will deliver our clients strategic business change agenda and be a key enabler of success to the business. You will be responsible for the implementation of our clients strategic modernisation agenda and take responsibility for developing the technical road map along with the technical frameworks. This is a client facing role where you will be expected to interpret client business requirements and translate these requirements into the creation of holistic solutions. Duties of the Solution Architect: Design high quality, scalable, secure and resilient solutions and the requirements of its existing or potential clients. Utilise effective design capability that can be articulated to clients and internal teams for the development of proposed solutions. Sit on the internal Design Authority Board (DAB) and review proposed designs to ensure compliance with the agreed terms of reference for our clients technical strategy. Play a key role in digital transformation by utilising their skills and knowledge of the IT industry to shape solutions. Communicate architectural decisions, plans, goals and strategies to project teams and senior leadership. Research, investigate, propose and introduce new technologies/third party applications. BACKGROUND Essential Previous experience of: Digital transformation of Legacy systems Continuous integration Micro services and container-based systems Implementing cloud and API best practices Integrating open source solutions Methodical; can focus on providing accurate, clear solution designs Team player - works collaboratively with all business areas to ensure solution meets client requirements Consultant presentation style Desirable MSCE: Cloud Platform TOGAF Financial Servicing experience Client facing experience Presentation experience Agile Methodologies and tools Atlassian Jira/Confluence SQL Scripting or Programming Cloud Deployment AWS Azure Load balancing concepts and technologies ITIL An interest/background in emerging technology and innovation that can drive opportunities & investment This fantastic opportunity comes with an excellent basic salary from £55,000-60,000 p/a and is accompanied with a 10% bonus, Private Medical Insurance, 24 days holiday (increasing to up to 30 days with service), 6% Pension, Life Assurance, Flex Benefits, Eye Test and an annual Flu Vaccination to name but a few.
