Overview
Morgan Hunt are currently working with a fantastic organisation, a college in Birmingham. This Birmingham based college has presented an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join the Finance Team. You will become part of a high performing Finance team. The college are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join the team on a permanent basis. As an assistant accountant at this college, you will be reporting into the Finance Manager and assisting the Finance Manager in supporting budget holders on the forecast financial position and providing them with monthly analysis/reports, . Main duties also include: Preparing quarterly VAT returns Daily reconciliations Maintain the salary schedule and carrying out variance analysis Preparation and posting of month end journals and accruals Overseeing month end process Administration support and administration changes to Business World This is a permanent position with a salary up to £27,000 Holiday entitlement is 30 days plus bank holidays YOU (ESSENTIAL) Experience of using Business World/Agresso Excel, pivot and summit experience Minimum of 12 months experience as an Assistant Accountant but 3 years in a finance environment AAT qualification minimum Experience in the education/FE sector Management accounting skills If this is you, then contact me directly on .
