Overview
This is a superb opportunity for an experienced financial accountant to join a very friendly and well established European accounting team within a global manufacturing business. The finance team is 4 strong and while this role is intended to start on a contract basis the intention is absolutely to make the successful applicant permanent. This role will report directly into the European Financial Controller of this US owned business. The role would suit someone who is either part qualified or qualified by experience. Typical responsibilities: Cashbook management and journal posting Multi-currency account and inter company reconciliations Cash reporting and cash flow forecasting for US parent company Responsibility for all accruals and pre-payments for designated business units Monthly review P&L and providing commentary Analysis of inventory and investigation of variance against standard costing Calculation and review of overhead rates Balance sheet reconciliations Preparing information and aiding with audits Experience required: Strong Excel skills - data manipulation, use of pivots and lookups daily Some exposure or knowledge of cost accounting Excellent communication and interpersonal skills European language skills would be advantageous Awareness of US reporting standards SOX If this sounds like you and you are also available at short notice then please apply now to be considered.
