Overview
This Harrogate based business provides a range of combustion and heat transfer equipment to a worldwide customer base in the oil and gas, petrochemicals, chemicals, pharmaceutical, food, tobacco and defence industries. Their products include indirect and direct fired process heaters, thermal oxidisers, vaporisers, firefighting training systems, control systems and fuel skid packages, including pipework and instrumentation. They provide a complete service, including conceptual studies through detailed design, fabrication, installation, commissioning, and a comprehensive after-sales service. They recently celebrated 30 years in business, employ around twenty people, and are now seeking a Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering graduate to contribute their project management, problem-solving, CAD drawing work, and client liaison skills to the company. This is an opportunity to develop as a project engineer with a high-quality UK engineering company. You will lead contracts worth around £100,000 and will be the first point of contact for the clients you are working with. The role involves an array of tasks: You will be working autonomously to convert client requests into practical terms for you and the team to follow; prioritising stages into a practical timeline, while ensuring that deadlines are met; identifying potential problems and developing solutions; and working and responding to the team and your client. There is scope to travel within this role as there are many international projects involved. Some customer and client facing experience would be beneficial. Any experience of project management, design and CAD drawing gained from university project work or previous employment would be desirable.
