Overview

Creative Support is a high-quality care provider of person-centred social care services for people with learning disabilities, mental health needs and other needs. Our supported living service in Leeds provides person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs. We require a motivated, hard working Senior Support Worker at our Autism Specific Service based in the Middleton Area of Leeds. You will be required to provide direct support for service users who have Autism, Learning Disabilities and Mental Health Needs in a 24 hour accommodation service. You will be warm, motivated, energetic, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will understand the needs of individuals with Autism and how to support staff working in these environments. You will be committed to developing creative approaches and solutions to difficulties in a positive and empathic way. You will have a professional approach to work and our service users at all times and you will see yourself as an ambassador of the organization you work in. You will be highly organized and interested in managing rotas and supervisions. You will be ensuring that training takes place, keeping accurate records for invoicing purposes and ensuring that all service user records are an accurate reflection of the support provided. You will understand the importance of working professionally and collaboratively with families and other professionals. You will have a person-centred approach in the support you provide to the tenants, and you will ensure this is implemented across the staff team with a focus on inclusion within the community, wellbeing and personal development. You will have experience and knowledge in Autism and approaches to supporting individuals on the Autistic Spectrum. Prior experience of supervising staff is essential, and relevant experience in a Support Worker role is essential. Relevant qualification is essential, such as an NVQ/QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care level 2 or 3. We provide full, accredited training courses in areas such as understanding autism and communication approaches.
