Overview

The Huntercombe Group are looking to appoint a Specialty Doctor to work in our Inpatient CAMHS service. We are looking for a Specialty Doctor to join our Multidisciplinary team and provide specialist support to young people. As a Specialty Doctor your main duties will be: Clinical Duties • To be directly involved in the treatment of young people referred to the service, particularly in respect to the use of medication • Being involved in the assessment and management of urgent referrals and/or ward referrals • Participating in devising plans of action using a variety of therapeutic approaches • Having an awareness of the special expertise of different disciplines within the Service in order that the most appropriate help is provided for children and young people through consultation and/or active involvement of a worker from a different discipline • Setting up and running client centred groups aimed at working with children/young people where appropriate • Taking part in a first on-call rota shared with Consultants where appropriate Quality and Clinical Leadership • Participating in the process of referral and admission both routine and emergency including preadmission assessment • Contributing to specialist meetings for the services provided at the hospital and contributing to the development of service strategy • Participating in case based discussion (CBD’s) for the purposes of their appraisal and re-validation as well as present academic papers and other areas of special interest at a weekly academic seminar currently arranged by the Medical Director Clinical Governance • Contributing to the development and evaluation of services in collaboration with the Lead Consultant, Director of Clinical Services and Head of Nursing and Quality • Taking part in medically related audits • Attending on-site CPD peer Group with other child and adolescent Psychiatrists About You In return we offer you a range of Industry leading benefits, including: • Indemnity insurance reimbursed on a monthly basis • 30 days Annual Leave • 10 days Professional Study Leave • Sick Pay 3 months full and 3 months half sick pay from start date • The opportunity to participate in a company contributory pension scheme with up to 3% matching contributions • Maternity leave at 3 month’s full pay and 3 month’s half pay • A range of staff discounts • Opportunities for training and development Working pattern: 37.5 Hours per week - (Flexible) We welcome applications from everyone irrespective of ethnic origin, gender, age, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, marital status, disability or social background.
